I watched soberly as distinct groups of people stammered past, leaving behind the odour of their identities.
A bachelorette party strutted by me, giving me condescending glares. Each of them appeared to be going out for their first time in a while, dressed in their work slacks and sequined clubbing tops.
A mood-heightened group stopped to talk to me. Their flipped collars and spiked hair reeked of small town. I should know, I'm from one. They asked me where to find Pheonix nightclub. I didn't know. Apparently it's at the corner of Carlton and Sherbourne, so I pointed them in the right direction. What they found there I don't know. Maybe they partied in Allen Gardens.
Only one person mistook me for a regular of the corner, citing that I looked like a cheerleader. I guess he had a fetish.
